    Castel del Monte → Plant Concept Design

The "Plant Concept Design" is the basic plant design of Castel del Monte. It is a geometric algorithm starting from a square that reproduces the plant design of Castel del Monte in all its basic forms complete with dimensions.

It is actually the first phase in the plant design. It was followed by a second phase where the plant design was modified to open the space inside the towers. CdM home Castel del Monte

The modification, also a geometric derivation, is minimal to preserve the same exact dimension of the cross vault as established in the concept phase.

The scheme is a common description formatted for various media presentations.
