The switch box was devised to simplify and standardize
the interconnection of various test instruments
and probe wires. The mechanization of these connections
provided improvements in data quality as well as faster
operation and less wear on connectors.
The unit on the left was the initial unit developed for power testing. The unit on the right expanded on this basic design to include telephone and cable testing. |

The combination of these two instruments provided a variable AC/DC, 60Hz source of up to 2000 Volts to conduct testing on power neutral isolators and telephone protectors. | |
